Closing Time

After some long inner battles I decided to close the site down temporarily.. It may or may not be back, I don’t know. I just need to focus my attention on other things at the moment and realign myself to get my mind right and really tackle this weight problem I have.. In the meantime, enjoy the song.

Heel and Foot Pain?

As mentioned in a previous post about plantar fasciitis I have had some nagging foot and ankle pains ever since Tough Mudder back in October 2012. Fortunately recently came across a product called The JWedge I thought I should give it a try since I havent had any luck with other forms of exercises to relieve my pain. I was skeptical at first of course since nothing seemed to work but I was very surprised that after day one I noticed a decrease in aggravation and pain.

Developed and made in America this wedge was designed by an avid runner and a physical therapist so you know its gotta be worth a try. With a few daily stretches on a flat surface you should see those nagging foot pains slowly going away. I do like this product and will continue to use it if the need to relieve my pains arises. Here are a few shots of the product and one of me using it. I had to use a door as I dont seem to have a flat wall to floor spot anywhere (damn floor molding LOL)

Revamp in the works

So I decided that the current model and direction of the site wasnt what I really intended so as of now its currently being ‘rebuilt’ and revamped to something a bit different. Its not going to be what I had originally planned but something new and a bit more fresh. More informative, more content, more everything. It will take some time but I will still be updating the site every so often.

Just for shits and giggles, for those who actually view my site (not many of you but some) what would you like to see? I’d like to get some input and maybe implement your suggestions. Thanks all

Crossfit

Theres a relatively new trend going on in the industry that is taking the fitness world by storm! It’s called CrossFit. It is a workout system that combines weightlifting, sprinting, gymnastics, powerlifting, kettlebell training, plyometrics, rowing, and medicine ball training.

I can certainly stand by this system. Some call it a fad or something that wont catch on but if you look at the ripped bodies of the men and women that participate you can see that this is 100% legit.

Under the knife, here I come!

Tuesday the day I go under the knife. Its not a major surgery and the procedure takes less than an hour but I’ve never had surgery, never been under anesthesia and never even had blood drawn. Needless to say, even though its such a minor repair I am nervous!


I am expected to be in a sling for 4 weeks :( which is probably going to suck really bad as I have to depend on my left hand to do my work for me :( After 4 weeks in the sling I apparently have to do 3-4 months of physical therapy to regain the strength. From what I heard from people who have had this done is that your shoulder will feel even stronger than before any tears. This is very comforting and exciting at the same time.

This is what I will be training for once I am able to gym again.

After therapy I will begin a new regiment that will include plyometrics, high intensity interval training, and strength training. With this new workout I expect great results towards the end of the summer. I’m not buying new clothes until after my transformation. Even though I’m coming up to a year of working out I have seen pretty good results but not near where I want to be. Baby steps, mental prep and will power will push me there.
